Oct. 11th, 2010 08:55 amFirst and foremost, the good news. We picked up Lady on Saturday. She pooped in the car like two minutes after we started the journey home, so we had to stop and clean that up, then again when we were almost home, so as soon as she had examined the front lawn, and her bed area, the next step was to plonk her in the sink and wash her feet and tummy.
She's absolutely beautiful. I'll upload the pictures once I have a chance to get them off of the camera. She's settling in really well. She was very clingy when we first got her home, the only place she would settle was on your chest and neck, but she's quite happy to lay near you and sleep now. The only time she gets upset is bedtime because until she's housetrained she has to sleep in the kitchen and the breeder had had her sleeping in her bedroom by the fire.
The cats are probably moving into their cattery today. They went in it yesterday for an hour or so and meowed a lot, but I'm sure once they get in with their own beds and their own litter trays and get used to it, they'll be fine.
Watched the first episode of Single Father last night. It was really good. David Tennant is just an amazing actor. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I finished watching the Doctor Who Series 4 boxset on Friday, and once again Journey's End had me sobbing. Donna's fate is just so heartbreakingly sad. Every time I watch it I cry.
The bad news. My desktop computer has died. I think it's the hard drive, but until Dad looks at it for me, I'm not really sure. I have the laptop out to tide me over, but it's just so slow. So, still about just slower than usual!

Dec. 29th, 2006 11:45 pmWell! I think I should post about my Christmas sometime now... where to start...
Well Friday morning we finished off the last of the Christmas shopping, then in the evening we went to the Village pantomime, which was quite funny. I didn't stay at the pub afterwards, didn't feel much like it!
Sunday, we went to my Nan's for Christmas Eve tea - beef cobs and nibbles! My uncle Roger and his partner Barbara came over and brought me a christmas present - despite being told not to buy me one back! My auntie Jean and uncle Ray were also there and they too bought me a present!!
James and Dawn arrived later Christmas Eve, they brought Willis with them and a huge bag of presents! They joined Mum and Dad at the pub but came back earlier than the 'rents. After everyone had gone to bed, I made sure Santa had put all the presents out, before going to bed on the sofa.
Christmas morning I got up at 7:30am, and laid the selection boxes and stockings on the sofas. I then went and made the smoked salmon nibbles and brought the bucks fizz and James'non-alcoholic blue champagne. Then came the long bit of waiting for everyone else to get up.
Once everyone was up and loaded with drinks and nibbles, we dived into the presents!

After the presents, we got ready to go to the pub for Dinner with Nan, Jean and Ray. It was a nice 4 course meal, good company, good food.
In the evening we had family time, and then James, Dawn and I played Trivial Pursuit.
Boxing Day, we all went to Nan's again for a big family get together! Then played more games at night.
James and Dawn left Thursday to go back home. Today I went to the hospital >.< I hate the hospital. I've lost 8lb since my last check up, and I had to go have blood tests to check my tablets aren't affecting my kidneys or liver since they're still experimental.
About 6 hours in KH2 - I think it's helping me to mourn. I know Riyu is still there with all of us! My heart goes out to Yuki, Suki and Kham and all those who were close to him. God knows what they're going through. It's still pretty unreal to say the least. But as I've said before, and will probably say a million more times as I mourn - Riyu will never truly be gone because Sora = Riyu = Sora. I did a little sketch last night for him, but it's not very good, so I probably won't post it. Kham allowed me to use his banner of Riyu, which is incredibly kind! It's on my profile!

Jun. 28th, 2006 10:02 amHaven't been online much lately. I miss chatting to everyone, but sitting at the computer for long periods of time when my neck is playing up like this, really hurts. I'm hoping it'll settle itself down again soon, I'm on a ton of painkillers and sleep, but I want to try and keep at work until the summer holidays rather than have time off.
James and Dawn came over at the weekend, it was really nice, we had a BBQ on the Saturday and Sunday lunch in the garden. James brought FFX with him and demanded I play it for more than an hour. I'm about 7 hours through now. Tidus still annoys me. Yuna annoys me. I still don't understand the Grid. I suck at Blitzball. The only saving graces are Auron (especially in battle when his arm is on show! Muscles yum.) Lulu, and Wakka.
Bought some new PS2 games the other day. James swapped my HMV card for cash since he goes to HMV and I don't. There was £25 on it and Blockbuster had a 5 for £25 on games and DVD's. So I got GTA: Vice City so I could give James his copy back. LOTR: TTT & ROTK but TTT doesn't work so I need to take it back when I go on Friday. Eternal Quest, which kinda sucks >.> might see if they'll let me change it, and Underworld, which is kinda good! I like offers like that because you can try different games for little money ^_^ But I've got all these games to play and can only use my PS2 for a little while at a time, or else it hurts.

Posted quite a few icon batches at my icon journal this week. Working on some Axel icons - well when I say 'working' I mean, I've made three so far... I need to make more!
Willis is already growing like really fast. And he's such a playful bundle of fluff! He and Charlie have bonded really well, they're always following each other and playing together. It'll be hard on them when James takes Willis to London.
Got my Skype to work last night! Yay! Spoke to Adrianna and Ang, it was mucho funo.

I took a bunch of photos! 18 in total, I sent them to my brother at full size/resolution and the zip was 15.8mbs... oops! Uploaded a few resized ones!

Will probably be hijacking the digital camera when we get the new kitten (possibly this weekend w00t!) May also grab it before then, so if you want photos of anything feel free to request.
Can almost see my desk, no longer hidden under a mass of papers and empty pop cans YAY! Next if the entertainment area (tv, video, dvd, consoles, etc) since there is a thick mass of cat hair and dust over there!
Finally got the window grate/hatch made yesterday! It's like a giant window.... cage thing, that bolts to the wall so I can have my windows open without my stoopid kittens jumping out. Had to take my blind down to fit it though, so I put up a thin net curtain, looks kinda nice!

Got my ass whooped by Adel last night, after like an hour of fighting her >.< maybe not quite an hour, but it certainly felt like it, will try again when I get time!
