Dec. 30th, 2009 07:51 pmSo... First and foremost, I hope everyone had a safe, happy and healthy Christmas!
I'm so far behind on everything it's not even funny. Trying to catch up on my flist and roleplays at the moment. So, if I've missed something important - post a comment here to let me know.
Next, a few thank you's...
First to Remmus for the absolutely amazing picture package that you sent. I was completely blown away *.* everything was so pretty. A whole bunch of the posters are already up in my bedroom and the postcards were super cool! I also loved my Christmas card ♥
Also to Laura, for the cards and note. My family were really touched by the card you sent us all and I adored my Christmas card and my note from Selphie.
Next, to Amy for the tasty, tasty sweets. They were delicious. I shared them with Mum and Dad. Dad's favourite was the green one and my Mum and I loved the toffee the best. But they were all so good. And thank ou to both Amy and Jeff for the Christmas card.
Also to Nikki for the amazing fic she wrote for me. It's so hot and really fits Seifer/Squall.
A big thank you to my wonderful girlfriend for the amazing gifts she bought me - Advent Children Complete and a Cloud Play Arts figure. ♥
From Mum and Dad I got a whole bunch of stuff. I got Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Drawn to Life, a 4GB MP4 player, some glass beads and some semi-precious stones for jewellery making, a 3D butterfly craft punch, a quilling set, Camp Rock Annual, Slippers, a locket with a silver clover leaf inside, a birthstone angel necklace, a daughter book.
From James, Dawn and Dylan I got some DS cartridge cases and some candles, and was supposed to get a strategy guide or something but the order was cancelled without warning.
From Nan I got an amazing Cook's Bible cookbook and of course, my tree.
From Jean and Ray I got some slippers.
From Roger and Barbara I got a Just Pink perfume set.
From Duncan, Tish, Josephine and Anna I got a Kelly Brook Vivacious perfume set.
From Sandra I got a set of five classic mini perfumes.
From Patrick and Karen I got a set of three tinted lip glosses in adorable tins.
From Julie I got a bottle of mango and papaya bubble bath and a set of mango body butter and scrub.
From Ailsa I got a tube of Malteasers.
From Karen I got two gold and silver photo frames.
From Santa I got a teddy bear, a Christmas mug filled with marshmallows, some bed socks, a Camp Rock notepad, and a popping chocolate bar.
From the Fairy I got a tine of lip balm.
From jack I got a keyring and from Tandy and Charlie I got a lip gloss.
Christmas has been insanely busy as usual. Mum and I did all the cooking, for nine of us this year. Nan, Jean, Ray, Mum, Dad, James, Dawn, Dylan and me. There were six courses and it was really tasty.
Christmas Eve was mostly spent in the kitchen preparing puddings, vegetables, stuffing balls, sausage balls, pigs in blankets, etc. We also set the tables and cleaned all the glasses and cutlery. Then Dad and I went over to Nan's to drop off the presents.
Up early Christmas Day to finish sorting things out and start preparing the starters. James, Dawn, Dylan and Willis arrived just a short while before dinner and Dad went to pick Nan, Jean and Ray up. Dinner went well and everyone seemed to have a nice time. Once Nan, Jean and Ray had been taken home we rearranged the lounge and then opened our presents, though Dylan could only manage a few of his before he needed to go bed.
Boxing Day Dylan opened the rest of his presents. I did a buffet tea and then James and Dawn took me to the cinema to see Avatar 3D - which was amazing! The graphics were stunning, the storyline was great.
The next day we all went over to Nan's for tea. Jean, Ray, Roger and Barbara were all over too. It was a nice afternoon/evening.
Since then it's mostly been time spent at home, just enjoying family time. Last night we played Monopoly City. James won. Dad came second. Then me. Then Mum. Dawn didn't play.
On Christmas Day, James and Dawn announced that there well may be a new Carr baby on the way. They were going to wait until the three month scan, but decided to break the news early. Dawn has been suffering with terrible morning sickness and looks exhausted. She's really emotional and doesn't know how she's going to cope with two babies. Mum has told her to get herself to the doctors. Hopefully once she gets past the tiredness she'll feel a lot better.
Dylan has been a joy all Christmas. He is just so funny and so entertaining. He is also so smart. He's not talking proper words yet, but he is always babbling away in his own way, and it only takes him a few attempts to figure anything out. I'll post some pictures once I get them uploaded from the camera!
Wow... this post is way longer than expected and doesn't contain half of the details of the days! I do hope that you all have a safe, fun New Year whatever you do and hoowever you spend it.
